Job description
The role of an Optometrist at Lenskart is different from competing brands and is not limited to only eye check-ups but also includes sales as a critical deliverable. He/she plays a key role in delivering technical expertise through eye-checks, dispensing, and diagnosis as well as selling products, executing stocktakes and SOPs to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Job Location: Hyderabad
Activities expected to be performed by a Lenskart Cluster Optometrist
Eye Test Conversion
- To ensure that Home Try On Optometrist are Offering Eye Test to all eligible customers
- To monitor if Optometrists are performing 12 steps of eye examination during eye test
- Lead by example to have satisfied eye examination in stipulated time
- Train staffs on how to be confident to approach customers for an eye test
- To train and observe product recommendation process by staffs to drive and improve conversion
- To monitor and train correct methods of professional handover customer to Sales executive or Store manager
Customer Obsession
- To ensure optometrist have customers trust by highlighting Optometry profession
- To train and monitor, In-Clinic professional communication during eye examination
- To ensure optometrists are enthusiastically dispensing / troubleshooting every customer
- To track NPS comments on eye test and take appropriate action for poor NPS contributors
Consultative Sales Focus
- To analyse the data and work for improving critical areas
- To support pitching of high value product through regular training
- To train on right practices with help of dispensing tools such as Progressive design chart
- Special emphasis on Lifestyle & Need based dispensing through structured training
Optometry& Dispensing Returns
- To identify and improve through visits and training for store staffs with high return projection
- To provide specialized training on troubleshooting to store staffs
- Training Optometrist on Counselling skills as per situation
- Eg: Handling customers who comes with external prescription
Contact Lens Focus
- To assist organization’s goal by promoting Aqualens brand
- To execute improvement plan in potential stores by identifying & training
- To contribute in future CL projects to make it successful
- To complete hands on training in all trial allocated stores
Process compliance
- Ensure HTO team is filling the Customer data before eye test and informed about the expected time in advance
- Monitor the process of record power done by the store staffs
- Monitor the New Qulaity Check process being followed by Optometrists for eyewear and contact lens
- Ensure all QC rejected returns are entered in Wooqer and POS with valid reasons

- Minimum qualification: Diploma in Optometry
