Key Responsibilities
1. Development and Unit Testing
- Perform as an individual contributor with a fair degree of accountability and minimal assistance.
- Execute unit testing to ensure the accuracy and functionality of your developments.
- Realize development requirements as per technical specifications provided.
2. Coding Standards and Performance Measures
- Adhere to all established coding standards and performance measures as per customer and organizational guidelines.
3. Continuous Learning and Training
- Participate in all assigned training sessions.
- Actively work on self-improvement and professional development.
4. Project Documentation
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of documentation involved in projects, such as BBP, Solution Design, Functional Specifications (FS), Test Scripts, and Timesheets.
- Contribute to required project documentation effectively.
5. Requirement Gathering and Analysis
- Exhibit basic knowledge of management processes and tools used for requirement analysis.
- Assist in extracting functional and non-functional requirements and documenting system/software specifications for low to medium complexity scenarios.
6. Customer Management
- Understand customers' business domains and technology suites.
- Utilize the latest technologies to handle customer escalations effectively.
7. Test Management
- Perform unit testing, including comparison testing for rehosting.
- Report testing statuses, document defects identified, and carry out necessary defect fixes.
- Create test cases, test scenarios, and test data, and execute both automated and manual test cases according to the test plan.
- Execute DIT Test Cases against the baseline code provided.
Required Technical/Functional Competencies
Project Documentation
- Basic understanding of project documentation, including BBP, Solution Design, FS, Test Scripts, and Timesheets.
- Ability to contribute to building required project documentation.
Requirement Gathering & Analysis
- Basic knowledge of requirement analysis processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Ability to document functional and non-functional requirements for low to medium complexity systems.
Customer Management Skills
- Basic knowledge of customers' business domains and technologies.
- Ability to use latest technologies and manage customer escalations.
Test Management Expertise
- Proficient in unit testing, creating test cases, and executing both manual and automation tests.
- Experience with test reporting and defect management.
